Toxic Free Living

Toxins are poisonous substances harmful to the body.

We’ve become so accustomed to eating foods that have been grown with fertilizers and growth hormones that contain harmful toxins. We’ve forgotten what it’s like to feel “well.” We don’t know how good we can feel until we eliminate these chemicals from our food.

The body has to process everything we put in our mouth and on our skin, and it has the hard job of eliminating what it cannot digest.

If your food contains toxins which it will do if bought from a regular supermarket, your body has to figure out a way of getting rid of the toxins that come in the form of chemical pesticides and fertilizers.

When the body cannot get rid of toxins fast enough, it stores them until it has time to eliminate them. This can lead to many health problems. Many of the pesticides used in farming have been carcinogenic, which is a substance capable of causing cancer in living tissue.

Reducing your exposure to these toxins can improve your health.

True, some people eliminate toxins well. Still, the body needs to expend energy to eliminate toxins when doing other things such as healing damaged cells, fighting off viruses and bacteria, or patrolling the body for cancer cells.

Even people who can tolerate or eliminate toxins could feel substantially better without putting these poisons into their bodies. And if your system is sensitive to toxins, you’ll be much better off eliminating them from your diet as much as possible.

Fortunately, it’s easier to do this because our grocery stores have a more incredible selection and variety of organic produce.

Home toxins can be divided into three categories:

  • Airborne
  • Biological
  • Chemical

Airborne – Consist of small airborne particles such as lint, dust mites, human skin, and pet dander.

These toxins are more dangerous than they sound because their small size enables them to travel deep into the lungs.

Biological – Bacteria and viruses attach themselves to airborne particles, increasing the likelihood of lung infections. Mold is also part of this category.

Chemicals – Come into our home in the products that we buy to improve our home’s look, smell, and cleanliness.

Over 80,000 Chemicals out there are used to make cleaning and personal products. Many have never been tested for toxicity by themselves, let alone in combination.

Every year 1,800 chemical products are introduced in North America, with little to no toxicity test.
